Ms. Donna Cleland has over 40 years of experience in all facets of science education reform. She is currently the Senior Science Education Specialist for the Education Consortium for the Advancement of STEM in Egypt (ECASE). She has been a director of professional development on a number of large federally funded projects including the 21st Century Center for Research and Development in Cognition and Science Instruction (Cog Sci Center) and the Math Science Partnership of Greater Philadelphia (MSPGP). She was responsible for the development of the Southeast Pennsylvania Regional Science Initiative, a consortium of school and business partners that supported inquiry-centered elementary science teaching and learning in Delaware County. She has been an adjunct professor for science methods courses, a reviewer for the state of Pennsylvania for the state science test items, and a writer of science assessment items for the PRAXIS tests. Most recently she helped to write the new Standards Aligned System in Science for the state of Pennsylvania.
